Robotic Technologies Ltd (RTL, www.robotic-technologies.com) is a joint venture between New Zealand’s leading technology company Scott Technology Ltd (www.scott.co.nz) and New Zealand’s largest meat processor Silver Fern Farms Ltd (www.silverfernfarms.co.nz). RTL’s vision is to fully automate the lamb boning room – formerly all manual - and is well on the way to achieving this, with commercial products including the X-Ray Primal system, the robotic Hindquarter Boning system, the Degambreller and the Knuckle Tipper. Products being released soon include automated middle and forequarter processing systems. RTL is also active in the beef industry with products including the Beef Boning unit.
